Investigative Journalism ത്തേക്കാൾ Imaginative Journalism അരങ്ങു വാഴുന്നു. കൊലപാതകതിനും ബലാൽസംഗതിനും വരെ പ്രത്യേക പേജുകൾ വന്നു തുടങ്ങി. ആളുകളുടെ വൈകാരിക ചൂഷണമായി വാർത്തകളുടെ വിജയം. ഏതാണ് പ്രധാന വാർത്ത എന്ന് എങ്ങനെ തിരിച്ചറിയും? ‘ നല്ല വാർത്ത ‘ എന്ന പ്രത്യേക തലക്കെട്ടുകൾ വന്നു തുടങ്ങി. സത്യം മാത്രം പറയുന്ന ഏതെങ്കിലും മാധ്യമം ഉണ്ടോ? Watchdog നോക്കുകുത്തിയവരുത്. പറയേണ്ടതെല്ലാം പറയാനും പറയരുതാത്തതൊന്നും പറയാതിരിക്കാനുമുള്ള വിവേകം മാധ്യമങ്ങൾക്ക് എന്നുണ്ടാകും.
Imaginative Journalism is a crime. Creating stories out of THREADS is an offense. News readers can not cross-check the truth behind the story. News has become crime thrillers. Murder and Rape are the most sensitive combination. Can we confidently ask our children to read or watch the news? My daughter asked me( while watching the news) ‘how do you rape’? How do we identify important news? Is there anything called Good news? Media is the Watchdog, Never be a scarecrow.
