ഇതാ ക്രിസ്മസ് – ജീവന്റെ മഹോത്സവം
വചനം മാംസമായി നമ്മുടെയിടയിൽ വസിച്ചു
“വചനം മാംസമായി നമ്മുടെയിടയിൽ വസിച്ചു” (യോഹന്നാൻ 1:14).
ഇതാണ് ക്രിസ്മസിന്റെ ഹൃദയം. ദൈവം മനുഷ്യനായി നമ്മുടെ നടുവിലേക്ക് ഇറങ്ങിവന്ന മഹാരഹസ്യം. അകലം പാലിച്ച ഒരു ദൈവമല്ല, മനുഷ്യന്റെ വേദനയും സന്തോഷവും കണ്ണീരും പ്രതീക്ഷയും സ്വന്തം അനുഭവമാക്കിയ ദൈവം.
ക്രിസ്മസ് ഒരു ആഘോഷദിനം മാത്രമല്ല. അത് ജീവിതത്തിന്റെ മൂല്യം ദൈവം തന്നെ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ച ദിനമാണ്. മനുഷ്യജീവിതത്തെ അതിന്റെ ഏറ്റവും നിസ്സഹായമായ അവസ്ഥയിൽ — ഒരു കുഞ്ഞായി — ദൈവം സ്വീകരിച്ചു.
മഹനീയമായ മാതൃത്വവും പിതൃത്വവും
ക്രിസ്മസ് മഹനീയമായ മാതൃത്വവും പിതൃത്വവും ആഴത്തിൽ മനസ്സിലാക്കുന്ന ദിനമാണ്.
കുഞ്ഞിനെ പ്രസവിക്കുവാൻ അനുയോജ്യമായ ഒരു ഇടം കണ്ടെത്തുവാൻ പോലും വിഷമിച്ച ഒരു ദൈവകുടുംബത്തിന്റെ കഥയാണ് ക്രിസ്മസ്. അന്നും ഇന്നും, കുടുംബങ്ങൾ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെ സുരക്ഷിതമായി വളർത്തുവാൻ, വീടും തൊഴിലും സാന്ത്വനവും തേടി എത്രയോ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടുകൾ അനുഭവിക്കുന്നു.
ബേത്ലഹേമിലെ തൊഴുത്തിൽ ജനിച്ച കുഞ്ഞ് നമ്മെ ഓർമിപ്പിക്കുന്നത് ഇതാണ്:
ദൈവസാന്നിധ്യം സമ്പന്നതയിൽ അല്ല, സ്നേഹത്തിലാണ്.
നന്മ നിറഞ്ഞ ഹൃദയങ്ങൾക്ക് സുവിശേഷം
ക്രിസ്മസ് സന്തോഷവാർത്ത ആദ്യം ലഭിച്ചത് ആട്ടിടയർക്കാണ്.
ലളിതരും നന്മ നിറഞ്ഞ ഹൃദയങ്ങളുമായിരുന്നു അവർ.
ഇത് നമ്മെ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്ന വലിയ സത്യം ഇതാണ്:
മനസ്സ് നന്മകൾ നിറഞ്ഞതാകുമ്പോൾ മാത്രമേ സുവിശേഷം കേൾക്കുവാനും സ്വീകരിക്കുവാനും പറയുവാനും കഴിയൂ.
ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേൾക്കുന്നത് വിനയമുള്ള ഹൃദയങ്ങളിലാണ്.
ക്രിസ്മസ് – ഒരു പ്രൊ ലൈഫ് പ്രഖ്യാപനം
ക്രിസ്മസ് സന്ദേശം അതിന്റെ ആഴത്തിൽ ഒരു പ്രൊ ലൈഫ് സന്ദേശമാണ്.
കുഞ്ഞ് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ദാനം, സമ്മാനം ആണ്.
ഉദരത്തിലെ കുഞ്ഞ് ജനിക്കണം, ജീവിക്കണം. ഓരോ കുഞ്ഞും അനുഗ്രഹമാണ്.
അബോർഷൻ പാപമാണ്, വലിയ കുറ്റമാണ്.
ഇത് സ്നേഹത്തോടെയും സത്യത്തോടെയും പറയുവാൻ നമുക്ക് മടിക്കരുത്.
ജീവനെ സംരക്ഷിക്കുക എന്നത് ക്രിസ്ത്യാനിയുടെ മൗലിക ഉത്തരവാദിത്വമാണ്.
മക്കൾ പ്രത്യാശ, മാതാപിതാക്കൾ അനുഗ്രഹം
മക്കൾ പ്രത്യാശയാണെന്നും, മാതാപിതാക്കൾ അനുഗ്രഹം ആണെന്നും തുറന്നു പറയുവാൻ കഴിയുന്ന കുടുംബങ്ങൾ വളരട്ടെ.
മക്കളുടെ മുമ്പിൽ മാതാപിതാക്കൾ തുറന്ന പുസ്തകമായിരിക്കണം.
വാക്കുകളേക്കാൾ ശക്തമായത് ജീവിതസാക്ഷ്യമാണ്.
ഒരു ഹൃദയസ്പർശിയായ അനുഭവസാക്ഷ്യം
എന്റെ ജീവിതത്തിൽ ഏറ്റവും സന്തോഷവും അഭിമാനവും സംതൃപ്തിയും നൽകിയ ഒരു അനുഭവം ഇവിടെ ഓർക്കുന്നു.
എന്റെ 60-മത് ജന്മദിനത്തിൽ, അടുത്ത ബന്ധുക്കളും സുഹൃത്തുക്കളും സഹപ്രവർത്തകരും ചേർന്ന കൂട്ടായ്മയിൽ, ഓരോരുത്തരും എന്നെക്കുറിച്ച് അവരുടെ അഭിപ്രായങ്ങൾ പങ്കുവെച്ചു.
അവിടെ, മുപ്പത് വയസ്സ് കഴിഞ്ഞ എന്റെ മകൻ അമൽ പറഞ്ഞു — അവന്റെ കയ്യിൽ മൂന്നു മാസം പ്രായമുള്ള എലിസബത്ത് മോളെ പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ട്:
“പപ്പയാണ് എന്റെ മാതൃക. ഇനിയും ജനിക്കുകയാണെങ്കിൽ എനിക്ക് പാപ്പയുടെ മകനായി ജനിക്കണം.”
എന്റെ ഏറ്റവും പ്രിയപ്പെട്ടവരുടെ സാന്നിധ്യത്തിൽ പറഞ്ഞ ആ വാക്കുകൾ, എന്റെ ജീവിതത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ സമ്മാനമായിരുന്നു.
ജീവിതം മറ്റൊരാൾക്ക് പ്രതീക്ഷയാകുമ്പോഴാണ് ക്രിസ്മസിന്റെ സാരം പൂർണമാകുന്നത്.
ഈശോ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ജനിക്കട്ടെ
ഈശോ നമ്മുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ജനിക്കട്ടെ.
കുടുംബങ്ങളിൽ വളരട്ടെ.
സഭയിലും സമൂഹത്തിലും പ്രകാശമായി ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യട്ടെ.
ക്രിസ്മസ് നൽകുന്ന പ്രതീക്ഷ എല്ലാവരിലും നിറയട്ടെ.
വിവാഹത്തിനായി ഒരുങ്ങുന്നവരെ ഓർക്കാം.
കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെ സ്വീകരിക്കാൻ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നവരെ ഓർക്കാം.
കുട്ടികളില്ലാത്തവരെയും, നഷ്ടത്തിന്റെ വേദന അനുഭവിക്കുന്നവരെയും ചേർത്തുപിടിക്കാം.
ജീവന്റെ മഹോത്സവം
ക്രിസ്മസ് ജീവന്റെ മഹോത്സവമാണ്.
ഉചിതമായ രീതിയിൽ അത് ആഘോഷിക്കാം.
സദ് വാർത്ത പ്രഘോഷിക്കാം.
ഈ ദിനത്തിൽ കൂടുതൽ അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ സ്വീകരിക്കാം.
ഇതാ ക്രിസ്മസ്.
ദൈവം നമ്മോടൊപ്പം.
ജീവൻ നമ്മോട് ഏൽപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ട വിശുദ്ധ ദാനം.

The Word Became Flesh and Dwelt Among Us
“The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.” (John 1:14)
This is the very heart of Christmas. It is the great mystery of God becoming human and entering into our midst. Not a distant God, but a God who embraced human pain and joy, tears and hope, and made them His own lived experience.
Christmas is not merely a festive day. It is the day on which God Himself proclaimed the supreme value of life. God accepted human life in its most vulnerable form — as a child.
The Dignity of Motherhood and Fatherhood
Christmas is the day that invites us to deeply understand the dignity of motherhood and fatherhood.
It is the story of a divine family that struggled even to find a suitable place for childbirth. Then and now, families continue to face immense difficulties in providing safety, shelter, work, and care for their children.
The Child born in a humble manger at Bethlehem reminds us of this profound truth:
God’s presence is not found in wealth, but in love.
The Gospel for Hearts Filled with Goodness
The joyful news of Christmas was first revealed to the shepherds.
They were simple people, with hearts filled with goodness.
This teaches us an enduring truth:
Only hearts filled with goodness can hear, receive, and proclaim the Gospel.
God’s voice is heard in humble and open hearts.
Christmas – A Pro-Life Proclamation
At its very depth, the message of Christmas is a Pro-Life message.
A child is God’s gift — a blessing entrusted to humanity.
The child in the womb must be born and must live. Every child is a blessing.
Abortion is a grave sin and a serious moral wrong.
We should never hesitate to say this with love and truth.
Protecting life is a fundamental Christian responsibility.
Children Are Hope, Parents Are a Blessing
May families grow where it can be openly said that children are hope and parents are a blessing.
Before their children, parents must live as open books.
Life itself is a more powerful testimony than words.
A Personal and Heartfelt Testimony
I recall here one of the most joyful, proud, and fulfilling moments of my life.
At the gathering held on the occasion of my 60th birthday, close relatives, friends, and colleagues shared their reflections about me.
There, my son Amal — now over thirty years old — spoke while holding his three-month-old daughter, Elizabeth:
“My father is my role model. If I am ever born again, I wish to be born as my father’s son.”
Those words, spoken in the presence of my dearest loved ones, became the greatest gift of my life.
When one’s life becomes a source of hope for another, the true meaning of Christmas is fulfilled.
May Jesus Be Born in Our Hearts
May Jesus be born in our hearts.
May He grow within our families.
May He serve as light and mission in the Church and in society.
May the hope of Christmas fill every heart.
Let us remember those preparing for marriage.
Let us remember those longing to welcome children.
Let us embrace those without children and those who carry the pain of loss.
The Celebration of Life
Christmas is the grand celebration of life.
Let us celebrate it in a worthy manner.
Let us proclaim the Good News.
Let us receive abundant blessings on this holy day.
Behold, Christmas.
God is with us.
Life is a sacred gift entrusted to us.
