Fr Joseph Ratzinger took me to his house at Pentling Regensburg in 1974 while I was a medical student at Ludwig Maximilian University Munich.
He gave me scholarships and financial help for my medical study, he guided me in all my troublesome days.
His sister Maria and brother Msgr Georg Ratzinger were very close to me, I was considered a member of their family, I feel empty now, deeply saddened, the feelings of great loss at this moment of deep sorrow
