ശിശുദിനം എന്നു കേൾക്കുമ്പോൾ ആദ്യം ഓർമയിലെത്തുക റോസാപ്പൂ അണിഞ്ഞ ജവഹര്ലാല് നെഹ്റുവിന്റെ ചിത്രമാണ്.
കുട്ടികളുടെ ഇഷ്ട ചങ്ങാതിയായിരുന്നു ചാച്ചാജി എന്ന ഓമനപ്പേരിൽ എന്നും ഓർമിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന നെഹ്റു.
സ്വതന്ത്ര ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ആദ്യത്തെ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രിയായിരുന്ന ജവഹര്ലാല് നെഹ്റു 1889 നവംബര് 14നാണ് ജനിച്ചത്. അതിനാലാണ് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ജന്മദിനമായ നവംബർ 14 ശിശുദിനമായി ആചരിച്ചുവരുന്നത്.
