With deep sentiments of sorrow we inform you that our beloved Bishop Mar Simon Stock Palathra CMI (Bishop emeritus, Diocese of Jagdalpur) is called to eternal rest today, 19 November, 2022 morning at 1.30 am, MPM Hospital, Jagdalpur. His mortal remains will be kept in St. Joseph’s Cathedral, Jagdalpur for paying homage from 10 am today. The burial is scheduled on 22nd November 02.00 pm at Jagdalpur. Let’s pray for the repose of the soul.
Bishop Simon Stock was born on 11 October 1935, in Changanacherry,Kerala. He was ordained a priest on 1 December 1964 and appointed Bishop of Jagdalpur diocese on 16 December 1992. He was ordained Bishop on 19 March 1993. He was the diocesan procurator before his appointment as the diocesan prelate. He was retired from the active episcopal ministry after completing 75 years of age in 2013.
